Best Blood Pressure Reminder App in 2026: 6 Options Compared

By Prabhjot Kaur, Medical Office Administrator & Registered Laser Therapist · Cureva · Updated October 7, 2026 · 9 min read

The best blood pressure reminder app depends on your monitor. OMRON connect and Qardio suit owners of those devices. MyTherapy is free with any monitor. Cureva is best for families: it reminds you to check BP, reminds BP medicines, logs readings and alerts permitted caregivers when a reading is out of range.

Your doctor asked you to check your blood pressure at home, and a week later the monitor is in a drawer. A blood pressure reminder app fixes the remembering part. The better ones also keep the readings, show the trend and help you bring something useful to your next appointment. Here are six apps compared, with every competitor fact linked to the company's own site or store listing. We checked every listing on October 7, 2026. Apps change prices and features often, so confirm on the store page before you pay.

How we chose

  1. Does it remind you to measure? We only marked Yes when the company says so.
  2. Does it work with the monitor you already own? Device apps are excellent if you own that brand and useless if you do not.
  3. Does it cover blood pressure medicines too? Readings and doses tell a story together.
  4. Does anyone else see a worrying reading? For an older parent, this matters most.
  5. Can you bring it to the doctor? A report or export, not just a chart on your phone.

Facts come from each company's site or store listing on October 7, 2026. If a feature was not described, we wrote "Not listed". Cureva is our app and is judged by the same criteria.

The 6 apps, and who each one suits

OMRON connect

Best for: people who already own an OMRON blood pressure monitor.

The App Store listing says readings sync automatically over Bluetooth from OMRON monitors, scales, thermometers and EKG devices, with free tracking of blood pressure, weight, activity and sleep and sharing with doctors or caregivers. Premium adds medication tracking, insights and detailed reports, from $9.99 a month. It is also on Google Play.

Watch out for: it is built around OMRON hardware, medication tracking is a paid feature, and a reminder to measure is not described on the listing.

Qardio

Best for: QardioArm owners who want reminders to measure.

The Qardio app page lists reminders to take your blood pressure measurement regularly, triple measurement averaging, irregular heartbeat detection, charts, emailing your doctor, and letting friends and family follow your measurements with notifications. It links to both app stores.

Watch out for: it is designed for the QardioArm monitor, and medication reminders are not listed; you can only add notes to readings.

Cureva

Best for: families, and anyone who wants BP checks, BP medicines and alerts in one app with any monitor.

Here is exactly what Cureva does for blood pressure today:

Watch out for: Cureva does not connect to a monitor by Bluetooth; readings come from manual entry or Apple Health and Health Connect. Blood pressure you mention to Eva in chat does not appear on the Vitals screen or in the PDF, so log it in Vitals. Cureva is in early access: Android is on Google Play and iOS is coming to the App Store. Read our blood pressure tracking guide.

MyTherapy

Best for: a free option that works with any monitor.

MyTherapy lists reminders for measurements as well as medications, tracking of blood pressure, sugar and weight, symptom logging and a health report for your doctor, on iOS and Android.

Watch out for: family alerts are not listed, so a worrying reading stays on your phone.

CareClinic

Best for: blood pressure as part of tracking many conditions.

CareClinic has a blood pressure tracker, medication reminders, charts and reports for providers, and its App Store listing mentions caregiver invites and Apple Health and Fitbit connections.

Watch out for: subscriptions run from $5.99 to $79.99 on the listing, and a reminder to measure is not described on its homepage. Cureva vs CareClinic.

Medisafe

Best for: US users who want blood pressure tracking inside a full medication app.

The App Store listing includes tracking of blood pressure, glucose, weight, pulse and temperature next to medication reminders, interaction warnings and PDF reports.

Watch out for: a reminder to measure is not mentioned, and outside the US it is fully paid since January 1, 2026, per its help centre. Cureva vs Medisafe.

Why regular home readings matter

The CDC reports that 48.1% of US adults have high blood pressure, and only 22.5% of them have it under control. Taking the medicine is part of it: the World Health Organization found that only 51% of people treated for high blood pressure in the United States adhered to their regimen. A reminder to measure, kept next to a reminder to take your tablets, is a simple way to give your doctor a clearer picture. More in our guide to medication reminders for hypertension.

Your doctor sets the schedule

When to measure, how many readings to take and what numbers need a call are decisions for your doctor. Use the app to follow that plan. If a reading worries you, contact your doctor, and in an emergency call your local emergency number.

Common questions

What is the best app to remind me to check my blood pressure?
If you own an OMRON or QardioArm monitor, start with its own app. With any monitor, MyTherapy offers free measurement reminders, and Cureva adds repeating BP check reminders, BP medication reminders and out of range alerts to family.
Can Cureva remind me to check my blood pressure?
Yes. Cureva has repeating health check in reminders, including Check blood pressure, that arrive as push notifications. You can set them daily, weekly, monthly or on a custom interval, or ask Eva to set one.
Does Cureva connect to my blood pressure monitor?
Not directly. You enter readings in the Vitals screen, or Cureva reads blood pressure from Apple Health or Android Health Connect if your monitor app writes there.
Will my family know if my blood pressure is too high?
In Cureva, an out of range reading sends a push notification to you and to caregivers you have allowed to see vitals. Qardio lets family follow your measurements with notifications.
Is there a free blood pressure reminder app?
MyTherapy says it is free and lists measurement reminders. OMRON connect is free for tracking with paid premium features. Cureva has a 7 day free trial, and prices are announced at launch.
Can I share my blood pressure readings with my doctor?
Yes. Cureva builds a PDF with your blood pressure readings and medicine adherence that you email to a saved doctor or share by a 72 hour link. Qardio lists emailing your doctor, and OMRON connect lists premium reports.

Check, log and share your blood pressure.

BP check reminders, medicine alarms and alerts that reach your family. Android is on Google Play, iOS is coming.
